17 June 2021, Rome, Italy - A delegate at the 42nd Session of the FAO Conference arrives at FAO headquarters to cast vote in the elections of the Independent Chairperson of FAO Council. While the Conference is being held virtually, voting is conducted physically simultaneously in Rome and in New York, and in adherence to health and safety guidelines. This is the first time delegates return to the FAO headquarters since the start of the COVID-19 lockdown in March 2020.
