The Kravcenko family used to be an important farmers family in the village of Lugansk, but after the beginning of the conflict in the eastern Ukraine they had to sell most of their livestock . Now they just own one sheep, one cow and some hens. FAO project TCP/UKR/3502 - Emergency assistance to restore the livelihoods of vulnerable small-scale farming families affected by conflict in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The objective of the emergency TCP project is to provide time-critical emergency livestock and crop assistance to safeguard the food security and livelihoods of small-scale families in Donetsk and Luhansk regions that are facing the brunt of the conflict and ensure to strengthen their resilience throughout the next production period.
