FAO Project: OSRO/HAI/013/NOR - Livelihood support to earthquake-affected rural families of Cormier wathershed (Leogane) through smallholder reforestation/agrofirestry and water resources management. The goal of this assistance is to create employment and foster income generating activities, contributing in this way to self-recovery. This assistance will provide an immediate support to 5 000 earthquake affected rural households of Cormier watershed, in Leogane Watershed, while building the foundations for longer term interventions related to reforestation, sustainable agriculture development and watershed management. The strategy for implementation focuses on job creation through High Intensity Labor initiatives (HIMO), which are one of the priorities of Haitian Government to support the population to restore their livelihood.
