20 November 2018, Kitale, Kenya - Workers at Victorian Foods Fish Factory prepare tanks with chemical product to tan fish skin. Fish leather clothing and accessories are unique and extremely durable, while also being a far lighter material than cow leather. Victoria Foods employs more than 300 locals to fish the perch, which is then filleted and transported through cold storage to Kitale, where it is processed and shipped around the country and abroad either as fillets or leather products. ©FAO/Luis Tato
