A fisheries association of first-time fish farmers trained by an FAO project meets in the Issykul Region of Kyrgyzstan to discuss how to expand and manage aquaculture in the area. The FAO project Support to Fishery and Aquaculture Management in the Kyrgyz Republic provided training, fish fry, manuals, legal assistance to set up fishing associations, scholarships for advanced fisheries studies and so on. The project was funded by Finland.
