From its centre at Mirpur, the Bangladesh Poultry Improvement Programme provides hens and cocks to 27 state farms in different parts of the country. The project, supported by FAO/UNDP, includes a training programme as well which is helping to increase and improve poultry and egg production to meet the growing internal demand for animal protein.
