Ethiopia, March 1953 - This photograph shows one of the Ethiopian vaccinators examining an ampoule of dried vaccine before starting vaccination against rinderpest. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has sent a mission to Ethiopia to help modernize the country's agriculture and forestry. Working there are experts in crop production, animal production, animal diseases' control, rural welfare, forest development and nutrition. This mission includes a team of FAO veterinarians.
