Preparation of cassava (manioc) before cooking. - - Communication & Non-Formal Population Education: UGA/93/P05. The project aims at assisting the Government of Uganda in promoting the health and welfare of the population by reducing the prevailing high levels of mortality, morbidity and fertility in order to ensure a sound balance between population growth and socio-economic development. Immediate Objective: In keeping with the spirit of the programme approach, two sets of immediate objectives are proposed. First, is a set of overall objectives for the project as a whole and second is a set of sub-project specific objectives. In respect of evaluation therefore, this approach allows for the evaluation of sub-project accomplishments and problems through the specific sectoral sub-project objectives, while evaluation of the overall objective will be derived as a composite index of the attainment of the various sub-project objectives.
