Assistant Extension Officer and Farmer Field School (FFS) Master Trainer Mr Thembinkosi Mango engages a farmer group at a pilot Food and Nutrition Garden (FNG) in Maphungwane Village, Lubombo Region, east of Swaziland. Under TCP/SWA/3502, FAOSZ is supporting a project on FFSs and FNGs aimed at improving nutrition and household food security. Under the SADP during the 2009 to 2015 period, FAO with the Ministry of Agriculture supported the establishment of 800 Food and Nutrition Gardens countrywide which maximise on Climate Smart Technology (water conversation) through the use of drip irrigation.
