06 December 2013, near Awassa, Hangachafa Village Sidama Zone, Ethiopia - Children eating lunch prepared at Anja Chefa HGSF school. Ethiopian school children are provided a free meal at school every day. WFP is providing the food, which is cooked in the school kitchen. WFP is working closely with Sidama Elto Cooperative Union. The Cooperative buys food from small holder farmers thanks to a loan obtained with a WFP contract, the food is then used in WFP school meals and relief programmes in Ethiopia.
