11 November 209, Rome - FAO Director General Jacques Diouf gave a press conference five days before the World Summit on Food Security at which he presented an FAO report on success stories in agricultural production and food security. While hunger is globally on the increase, with 1.02 billion people undernourished, there are several countries that have managed to reduce hunger by transforming the agriculture sector and enhancing smallholder production.
