Background information
This picture was captured during the worst outbreak of African Migratory Locust (AML) and Red Locust in the northern parts of Namibia. The outbreak affected most parts of Omusati region where this picture was captured. The picture was taken during a field mission by FAO and government officials to assess the situation in the affected regions and coordinate emergency response measures to mitigate the outbreak.
