19 November 2005, Rome - The A.H. Boerma Award for journalism was presented jointly to Giampaolo Cadalanu, a reporter for the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, for his work in documenting the problems of hunger and poverty, and to two reporters with the Wall Street Journal (U.S.A.), Roger Thurow and Scott Kilman, for their contribution towards raising public awareness regarding food and development-related issues.
