The World Antibiotic Awareness Week (WAAW) presents an opportunity to scale up the coordination and collaboration efforts between FAO, OIE and WHO to mitigate and contain the spread of AMR. The first regional WAAW is held in Nairobi, 18-24th November, 2019 with the goal of strengthening AMR coordination and collaboration in Africa.
