22 January 2020, Taita, Kenya - A member of Green rock farming group is speaking in front of a group during a training day for local farmers in the area. They will teach them different farming techniques, facts about a mixed diet with different nutritions and the importance of good knowledge about market demands. The Trainer of Farmers hosts the demonstration farmer, where they do they carry out intensive trainings to the community on some of the good agronomical practices they were taught with FAO. Each lesson is of different crops. In this occasion they have cabbages, potatoes, turnips, carrots and fish farming. Green Rock is a farming group of 14 members, who have been taught on nutrition and the value of a variety of foods. Each member has a kitchen garden for subsistance use, and also crops that they farm and sell as a group.
