22 May 2012, Mao, Chad - Women of the local village of Boula-Ngara making a wind-breaking fence to protect the river nearby which allows them to cultivate a market garden through the FAO project. FAO Project: OSRO/CHD/105/EC - Supporting food security for households weakened by the crisis between Libya and Chad. Objectives: To reduce the impact of the Libyan crisis on food security on vulnerable returnee households. The targeted households will be kept to and will maintain a viable standard of living through the distribution of agricultural inputs (vegetable kits, seeds, tools and pesticides) and livestock (goats and animal feed).
