Recently in the Aeolian Islands there is a return to agriculture, with particular attention to products and methods of ancient tradition, such as the cultivation of ancient wheat seeds, a variety of grains that were used in the past in southern Italy and that never underwent no modification by man. Some examples of ancient wheat varieties are Senatore Cappelli, Maiorca, Russello.
