    24 April, 2017, Lurambi, Kakamega County, western Kenya - A staff member at Joyce Makaka's Jafi Enterprises fish farm examines a fertile catfish selected for egg extraction to aid in artificial propagation. Joyce's Jafi Enterprises fish project is a beneficiary of FAO's Africa Solidarity Trust Fund (ASTF), an innovative fund to improve agriculture and food security across the continent, breeding exotic and indigenous species of Tilapia and Catfish alongside ornamental species that include Goldfish and Cod for sale in the Kenyan market.
