26 May 2015, Taroudant, Morocco - CeraTrap is a specific bait used at Elboura Domaine Citrus Orchard to prevent and control medfly and Ceratitis Capitatata damages. An effective and 100% ecological product It releases a series of volatile compounds, mostly amines and organic acids which attract the adult flies, especially females. CeraTrap is applied inside the trap (fly trap or bottles with holes) to facilitate the release of volatile components and trap the flies. Domaine Elboura is located 75 km from Agadir, produces fruit and vegetables in a natural way. Chemical treatments are avoided as much as possible but when unavoidable they are subject to a very strict regulation. The Domaine also implements SIT ( Sterile Insects Techniques) to control and fight parasitoids and predators such as the Medfly , Ceratitis Capitata.
