27 May 2015, Wayembane, Senegal - Animals are seen grazing in a mango orchard where Malatrap pheromone lures are used to prevent and control Bactrocera Dorsalis fly (Asian fruit fly). The Senegalese Department of Vegetable Protection (DPV) is promoting pilot projects to develop means to eradicate the pest, apparently imported into Africa at the beginning of the past decade where a shipment containing samples of the fly arrived in the Kenyan port of Mombasa.
