28 January 2019, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva and Senegal's Foreign Affairs Minister Sidiki Kaba signing an agreement between FAO and the Government of Senegal for the opening of a new FAO Sub-regional Office for West Africa in Dakar. The office will foster FAO's presence at the sub-regional level, and aims to further strengthen the long-standing collaboration between FAO and West African countries on food security, nutrition, agriculture and rural development.
