28 June 2017, Gafati, Niger - Mehao Saley, 60years, preparing nourished feeds for her goats. She is one of the beneficiaries of the ASTF zero hunger initiative. Through the fund, she was given goats, trained on improving agricultural practices and other technical support. Gafati in the Zinder region of Niger is one of the communities ASTF has supported in implementing the 3N "Niger feed the Nigerians" zero hunger initiative. The support has helped in the diversification and improvement of agricultural production, the construction of "Maison du paysan", development of small-scale irrigation for horticulture, supported agricultural and zoo-technical inputs to vulnerable households (input shops with seed, fertilizer, animal feed, and warehouses), strengthened the capacity of producer organizations, and the creation and running of Dimitra clubs.
