The flooding and devastation caused by Cyclone Komen in July-August of 2015 has exacerbated food insecurity for poor rural communities living in Myanmar? hardest-hit regions and highlighted their vulnerability to withstand similar emergencies in the future. This FAO emergency project, funded by CERF, is assisting more than 50 000 flood-affected individuals in four townships of Sagaing region of Myanmar through the provision of agricultural inputs and livestock before the next rainy season.
