29 June 2017, Gafati, Niger - In a herd of goats Mehao Saley, 60years, hands over her goats to be taken care of by local herdsman. Gafati in the Zinder region of Niger is one of the communities ASTF has supported in implementing the 3N "Niger feed the Nigerians" zero hunger initiative. The support has helped in the diversification and improvement of agricultural production, the construction of "Maison du paysan", development of small-scale irrigation for horticulture, supported agricultural and zoo-technical inputs to vulnerable households (input shops with seed, fertilizer, animal feed, and warehouses), strengthened the capacity of producer organizations, and the creation and running of Dimitra clubs.
