30 May 2019, Rohi Lenin, Tajikistan - FAO matching grant beneficiary Fayzali Vorisov inside his lemon cold storage. Fayzali is seasonal migrant, working in Russia for the summer months. In Tajikistan he grows lemon seedlings and trees in his recently built greenhouse and exports the fruit. He wants to enlarge his business now and from the FAO grant install another greenhouse of almost the same size.
The family received support from the "Developing Capacity for Strengthening Food Security and Nutrition in Selected Countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia" project. The ultimate goal is to channel remittances of the seasonal labour migrant father into something productive, and, eventually, prevent him for migration in the future.
