31 May 2019, Dehkonobod, Tajikistan - FAO matching grant beneficiary Rashid Buzurov loading his car with apricots that he'll sell at the market. The head of the eight-member family used to work in Russia as a labour migrant. He got engaged in agriculture since coming back. From the grant Rashid wants to start a flower business and transfer it to his wife. The family received support from the "Developing Capacity for Strengthening Food Security and Nutrition in Selected Countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia" project. The ultimate goal is to channel remittances of the seasonal labour migrant father into something productive, and, eventually, prevent him for migration in the future.
