Afghanistan, 1952 - The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has sent to Afghanistan a team of specialists in animal production, agricultural extension services, seed improvement, sugar beet production, small implements, etc., to help that country increase its agricultural production and raise the living standards of its population.
