Ethiopia, 1953 -This photograph shows Dr. Ottosen, FAO veterinarian, carrying out the post-mortem of a calf which died after a rinderpest virus injection. The calf was deliberately infected with rinderpest and its spleen will be used in the preparation of vaccine.
