The woman is a new fish farmer who has a small pond she has learned how to stock with fish and manage by an FAO project. Here she is preparing fish feed. The FAO project Support to Fishery and Aquaculture Management in the Kyrgyz Republic provided training, fish fry, manuals, legal assistance to set up fishing associations, scholarships for advanced fisheries studies and so on. The project was funded by Finland.
