The woman on the right was a refugee from Srebenica. - - FAO Emergency Programme for Bosnia and Herzegovina Projects OSRO/BIH/512/NET and OSRO/BIH/601 and 603 MUL: OSRO/BIH/512/NET and 601 MUL. Project OSRO/BIH/512/NET (Provision of Quality Seed for War-Affected Areas in Central Bosnia) was in operation from September 1995 to February 1996 and FAO provided 7 745 mt of wheat for the autumn planting season and 1 200 mt of fertilizer to needy areas. The project objective was to help farmers of the war-affected zone in central Bosnia to be more self-sufficient in food production, together with improving the quantity and quality of their agricultural products, during the 1995/96 season. Managementsupport, transportation and monitoring operations were funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Wheat was harvested mechanically or by hand in July/August 1996 by small-scale family farms, and milled by small millers (11917-19926).
