The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) financed this TeleFood project to establish a village tree nursery with a budget of just over USD 3 000, which covered purchase of equipment, seeds and inputs. Mango and bitter lemon seeds were germinated, watered and grafted to produce fruit tree seedlings. The women's association received assistance from an extension agent who trained the group in budding/grafting techniques and correct application of fertilizer. As a result of the training received, individual members have also started applying these techniques to improve their own land.

The group has also begun to plant vegetables such as okra, cabbage and peppers to be sold at the local market and any income earned will be used to buy inputs to strengthen activities.
