Sustainable Agrarian Reform Communities Technical Support to Agrarian Reform and Rural Development (SARC-TSARRD) is a joint project of the donor Government of the Netherlands, the Government of the Republic of the Philippines and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), which is the executing agency. The specific mandate of the SARD-TSARRD project is to assist in transforming agrarian reform beneficiaries into self-reliant and productive farmers with strong organizations able to obtain higher levels of support services as a means to increase productivity and income.
A Farming System Development approach has been adopted and there is wide community-based participation in agricultural matters.
